Please run the MailWasher Pro Statistics Collector

If you aren’t aware we are rewriting MailWasher from scratch, we are about 8 months into development and things are really shaping up well. Here’s a video of the new program so far taken a couple of weeks ago

One of the challenges faced is we’ve often had to wonder, how many users have certain options set, or how many chose to display MailWasher a certain way over another. Frankly we have no real idea... we know how we use the software and we have a general feeling for how you use the software, but this is based on anecdotal evidence from our support emails and other feedback. We don’t have cold hard statistics to back up these ideas, and we think it’s time we tried to gather some to help us shape the new version of MailWasher Pro.

We’ve written a small utility program, that scans your MailWasher Pro settings and sends them back to us. It’s crucial we emphasise here, *no personal data is transmitted*. It’s simply a summary of your MailWasher settings and some machine specifications such as your Operating System, Display Resolution etc...

I would LOVE to be able to run the Spam Collector, but unfortunately it will not run on my mac, which is where I usually run Mailwasher "in anger".
Love Mailwasher, consider it one of my best investments ever - even the mac version, which went off the market only a couple of months after I purchased it(!!).
Looking forward to seeing the new windows version on my PC.

Sure dear, I will download it and run it on my Vista, let me check MailWasherStatCollector and review you, i m sure that will ensure you make more informed decisions on your new version, but does Mailwasher works on linux ? because i do have Linux too !!

MailWasher Pro 6 should run under Wine, our new version we are working on though will not run under Wine, and we intend to build a specific Linux/Mac version after we've completed the Windows version.

Are you sure that no personal data will be transmitted and you wont be checking any emails????? Because having an email account is something like having huge privacy, but if in any case that is hampered it wont be suitable. Apart from this issue, it sounds interesting. The trailer is good, hoping the newly version of MailWasher pro would be much more than its trailer.

It will transmit the names of your email servers. Such as pop.gmail.com but it will not collect or transmit your usernames and passwords.

Your 8 months hard work can be seen very well in this progress video. you guys are making a fabulous thing, when it'll be completed and produced in the market, people will take no time and no thought in buying it and i would be one of them. I'm so sick of having spams and all, so m eagerly waiting for MailWasher..how long will it take more to be completed fully?

I am a loyal user of Mailwasher since Version 1. In fact I continue to use it to this day and love it. However, after reviewing your video of the upcoming upgrade and the rest of your site. I do not see any mention of the use of your original concept of Mailwasher. BOUNCING the spam back to the sender. Is this feature still available in current and upcoming versions?

Hi, yes bouncing is still available in the current version and it will be an option in the new version as well. You will see from the video that there were quite a few things not in there yet.

I have used Mailwasher PRO since early development and it is a fantastic program. There is no other that can beat Mailwasher PRO in stopping Spam and bouncing.
